FOR THE BEST RESULTS
Get rid of damaged layers
Use a nail file to remove all the damaged parts of the nail before the start of the treatment. If the damage is excessive, remove the top layer of the nail and start the treatment. Repeat every week.
Proceed with patience until the nail regains its natural color and look. Keep the nails short. Always sterilize your equipment and do not use the same equipment on your problematic and your healthy nails.
Clean the nails properly
Before you use the Healthy Nails oils it is a good practice to remove all the residue from the nails gently. Use soap and a nail brush and scrub your nails thoroughly.
The goal is to remove all the dirt and oil from the previous application. Use soap that does not dry the skin and nails. Make sure your nails and surrounding skin is dry before applying the oil.
be consistent
Generously apply the oil on the nails and surrounding skin 1-2 times per day. Since the fungus is very persistent and grows quickly, it is good to be consistent and apply the oil every day.
Skipping 3-4 days in a row will usually result in fungus infecting the newly grown healthy part of the nail and the previous efforts will be in vain.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Apply cream
Apply foot (or hand) cream on your nails. It will
help with the hydration and repair of the
damaged parts. The best practice is to rub a
generous amount of cream on your nails and
cuticles and leave it overnight. The creams
with a very high fat content work best.
Change your socks daily
Fungus sticks around, so it is very important to
change the socks regularly and keep good
foot hygiene. Disinfect your shoes if you are
wearing them without socks. Also, wash your
feet and apply the oil straight after being in
touch with any wet public surface (like
swimming pools, tidal pools, public showers). It is good practice to wear flops in those places to avoid infecting others.
Patience is the key
It takes a long time for the nails to grow out
healthy. As long as the damaged parts exist,
the fungus has a good hiding place to re-infect
the nail. Continue applying the oil for a few
weeks after the infection clears completely to
keep it from reoccurring. Keep handy and react fast at any sign of new infection
